About the image:

This image is part of a long-term personal project called The Study of Peter Pan. The project aims to capture someone at a transient moment in adolescent development, and to freeze that moment (the title of the work referencing the well-known mythological character of Peter Pan).

Gabriel (chosen to symbolise Peter Pan) took a gap year between leaving school and starting university. The project consists of approximately 200 undirected ‘moments’, all captured over the course of that year, in Gabriel's natural everyday environment near to where he lived and worked in North and East London.

Though his outward appearance changes throughout this period, there is a repetition in his body language and mannerisms that transcends time. The images try to capture this balance – between what is and what isn't changing.

Please get in touch for more info and to see more images from the project.
